In 2016, I picked up a pen and started writing. Not for publication or recognition, but because the stories I was witnessing in emergency dispatch demanded to be told—the human stories behind the radio calls, the split-second decisions, the lives changed in 911 centers every single day. Almost a decade later—after two kids, two major career pivots, the loss of loved ones, and a cross-country move—this dream is finally becoming reality. It turns out that all those detours weren't delays. They were research.
I'm a storyteller with a 911 background. Eight years as a telecommunications supervisor at a major sheriff's office taught me how to lead under pressure, listen for what matters, and translate chaos into clarity. I carried that mission into everything that came next—project management, adult learning, and the work I do today helping organizations build teams and training that actually stick.
Outside of work: wife, mom of two girls, proud dog owner (x2), church member, outdoor enthusiast, and someone who genuinely believes breakfast dates are non-negotiable. I think the best ideas happen over coffee, not in conference rooms.
My story isn't finished. It's just getting interesting.
